About RMIAN
Rmian Works To Ensure Justice For Men And Women In Immigration Detention And For Immigrant Children Who Have Suffered From Abuse, Neglect, Or Violence.
RMIAN organization (pronounced: Remain) has been providing free legal services to adults held at the immigration detention center in Aurora and to immigrant children since 2000. We're a small but mighty staff of 16 and we work with thousands of folks each year who would otherwise never have access to an attorney or information on their legal rights. We also provide social workers to particularly vulnerable folks in detention, which is especially important right now during this family separation nightmare.
For the past couple weeks, we've been working with parents who were separated from their children at the border and sent here to the detention center in Aurora. Here is our official statement on this cruel policy from July 11th. We've been speaking to local and national media the past week about the parents we are working with. Here is a list of recent print and TV pieces featuring our staff members: https://www.rmian.org/happenings/
